Solitude, contentment

You’ve thought it might be nice to join a book club, knitting club, swim team, running group. Now the chance has come up. Others urge you to participate. You are reluctant. Think about it. A big reason you prize these activities is for their solitary nature. Now it’s easy to decide – don’t join in. Just keep reading at your own pace the books you like; knitting in front of the TV; swimming in a peaceful quiet pool; running along a path alone with your thoughts.
