Dreams, insecurity

You talk to an artist, a gardener, a lady who has knitted a sweater, a beekeeper, a man who just completed a half-marathon. You say you could do it, too, if only you had time/didn’t have to work/the kids were not underfoot/were retired/had more money/were as frivolous as all of those who are already doing whatever it is…Wait, you didn’t say that last part? Yes, you did. It’s sour grapes and it’s not nice.
