in her dreams,

in her dreams,
I present these oracle-like artist trading cards for your review and possible edification! You remember such items from the past, maybe – here they are again.
I make these cards and then I give them a phrase cut from printed matter, chosen at random but maybe not. See if you get any kind of push or insight or set off on any train of thought from looking at and reading these, even if it’s just to say, “Whaaat?!”

  1. I like the way there is a division – created by the wall of text paper – between the geometric figure and the more chaotic mark making on the left. I wonder which side is the dream world – the order or the chaos?

  2. I delight in your cards and contemplate them all. Sometimes it’s like you are reading my mind.

    • Thank you. I really appreciate it that you delve into their meaning. I find making them reveals thoughts that I didn’t know I had, or else brings up ideas that I want to examine further. I wonder where they come from, these little cards! I am interested that they are doing the same thing for you, it sounds like?

      • Yes, very much! I have taken lessons with Tammy Garcia and she says she goes back to things weeks or months later and even if there are no words they reveal things about her at that time that she didn’t intentionally put there.

        • Yes, that is exactly it, I feel there are layers in these artworks that I had no idea existed at the time of making, and it’s as if it’s necessary for time to pass for them to work their way to the surface. Which is something I really really like.
